I would skip Rosebud. They have passed their prime and living off thier reputation. Food is average or below, service is poor to terrible. They messed up our reservation. I'm not going back. Try Tuscany a block or two East.

I go there for lunch occasionally and it is very good. Barry Grau ([email removed])

Apart from agreeing to the above, I want to mention briefly what a wonderful experience I had (again) at RoSal's. We went for an early dinner at 6p and the place was barely 1/4 full. The waiter, after digging around for some fresh farfale that wasn't on the menu (for my dinner companion), came around about 10-15 minutes after we ordered with a salad, on the house, because (as he put it), "I don't like to see people not having anything to eat." Then after a wonderful plate of tiramisu, he came back to check on us, and discovering that my companion didn't partake in dessert because she was watching her calories, brought her a spoonful of tiramisu to try so that she wouldn't miss the experience. Another excellent dining experience. My favorite Taylor St. place by far. Sam
