Must say that it was a very enjoyable, very delicious, very affordable experience! Not very crowded for a rainy Friday night. Our waiter was very very helpful, as I had mentioned that I was a first-timer there on advice of friends. He made some suggestions to us, and was helpful and attentive. We had mostly "regular" stuff; hommus, baba ganouj, falafel sandwich and a "combination" plate that had 4 different meat things, with rice under. While I wasn't the one that had the falafel, i did get to try some, and I can see that the reason I never liked falafel was that I'd never had it done this way. (meaning "properly" and "fresh") I remember all the falafel I'd had prior to this to be hard, dry, little deep-fried balls of something. This stuff was crispy on the outside, and moist, aromatic and flavorful on the inside! Yum. All the meat was really good; nicely seasoned, hot (temperature), flavorful and tender/moist. (sadly, I didn't pay enough attention so I'm not sure of the meat preparation names...) The plate had chicken and beef that was grilled (kebab style??), a lamb sausage (tastes like gyros meat) and grilled lamb pieces (looked like steak taco meat, but was marinated tasty lamb....) Great food for a good price, very generous portions, definitely calls for a repeat visit. We also popped in to the bakery next door and got some pistachio sweet thing for dessert. Salam 4636 N.
