Milwaukee Ave. from Division St. in the City all the way to Dempster in Niles.

It's about a 45- 60 minute drive on Milwaukee Ave from Division using a Car. If you use bus you can get as far as Jefferson Park (Lawrence), then transfer to a PACE bus to head towards Dempster.

Here's an incomplete list:

Don't know where you will be or how far you want to travel, but there in a nice restaurant with a buffet on Algonquin Road, just south of Golf Road. It's called European Crystal. I think that's Arlington Heights there, but it may be Rolling Meadows. To find it from west bound I-90, get off at Arlington Heights Road and turn right at the end of the ramp, Then, turn left at Algonquin and go about one mile and the restaurant is on the left. They've completely remodeled and added a banquet hall recently.

I think this resturant serves the m0st god-awful tasting food possible. Bland, tasteless gruel--but perhaps I just don't like Ploish food.

On the other hand, the female staff does in fact help one get over the terrible tasting food

In addition to the restaurants others have mentioned, you could try Bobak's Polish buffet. The original is on Archer east of Midway Airport. They have also spawned one in Willowbrook on County Line Road just south of Interstate 55.
