well, I can recommend Viceroy of India and MotiMahal restaurants for indian on Devon Street (little India). For moderately priced Thai food, you need to go to Evanston. On Church Street by the "El" tracks, there is a little place called THAISUKHADI and anotherone around the corner is called King Of Siam. GOOD LUCK...

I can wholeheartedly recommend Jade Garden 2217 (or 2221...) South Wentworth (Chinatown). Looks a bit stark, but they have this "honey, garlic, fried shrimp" that makes me want to move back. They also have a real good bar-b-q pork fried rice. The food is reasonably $$.
