Dear Hope:

I think the Phoenix has the best Dim Sum in Chinatown. It has a wide variety of dishes served off the cart, but also has a nice selection of menu items as well. Be warned, however, that one the weekends it gets pretty crowded. I think its best to get there early, around 10:30, to beat the crowd. If you go a little later (eg 1:30), you may run the risk of having certain things run out. Also, the entrance is along a main street, so it would be easy to drop people off and have them get the table while others park the car.

The best noodle house in Chinatown is "The House of Seven Treasures". Not
fancy at all but a local favorite.
