You might try walking south on Clark from the Howard station to A&T, a couple blocks south of Touhy. Your standard urban Greek coffee shop, but the omelettes are a cut above the average and you can get slabs of fried potato that taste like potato (American fries). And they'll fry 'em in olive oil if you want. The blintzes are outstanding, pancakes soso, don't know if they have biscuits and gravy. I think the place is a hidden treasure and definitely a neighborhood hangout, great for people watching. If you try it, let us know what ya think. ...and a assume you're familiar with Heartland?

Quirky decor and good service and food. Definitely worth a try. Don't recall if they have a smoking section. Dave
