Arthur Zards exploded: |Subject says it all, whats the best and more romantic Shushi in Chicago? | I've heard of Tsunami, but thats about it. Nagano's nice, as it tends to be rather quiet.. but, it's somewhat brightly lit. Not sure if that fits with your definition of "romantic". Kyoto's also usually fairly free of distraction as well, and has a REALLY BIG HEAD on the wall, if that's what you and your date are into. Both have DAMN FINE SUSHI, but Kyoto's is a bit fresher (imho). Of course, when a man and a woman eat raw fish bits and tentacles with little bitty sticks, how could it *not* be romantic?

Best/romantic Sushi in Chicago
I actually don't think that Yaohan is that bad. You must admit that it is quite convenient and not a bad value. Plus, you can get all kinds of different ones. Also, you can get veggies from there (like the seasoned pumpkin) and a nice dessert from the pastry shop (although I'd suggest a short trip further to Golf Road and checking out Valli's Produce for a wider variety of desserts in the back of the store). All in all, I wouldn't be so fast to count Yaohan out. I'd love to find a romantic Japanese restaurant, but the only ones that I know of lack intimacy because they are either too crowded (Matsuya), lack the ambiance, or involve flying knives (it's been a long time since I've been to Benihana).
