Try "The Grove Restaurant" at Waimea Plantation Cottages. Nice Sunday brunch on the lanai. Good stopping place for dinner on the way back from Kokee. Pleasant service and tranquil setting.

Did anyone mention the Bull Shed, just north of Coconut Plantation? Steaks and seafood - if the *ono* is fresh, it's the best! No wonder - ono is Hawaiian for *good*!

The pacific cafe is one of the best restaurants that I have eaten it is on the east coast also just north of coconut plantation in a little strip mall- The chef combines french and asian/hawaiian cuisines. They were in Conde Nastes top 50 and I can see why. They also have a cookbook which lets us relive (or close) the great meal we had there.

I agree wholeheartedly. We were there last September and enjoyed the restaurant so much that we went back for a second time. The location leaves a little to be desired but the food was innovative and delicious, and the presentation was done very well.
