Many hundreds of thousands have had wonderful experiences at Sonny's many fine BBQ places in Florida! I don't know how many places Sonny's has, but I understand there are 30 or 40 places, maybe more. Success breeds success. A place must be very good to continue to grow with a strong following of multi-thousands of customers. On a recent trip to Florida, I tried several BBQ restaurants, and kept going back to Sonny's. They use the very good and highly rated Southern Pride smoker, and the results from this cooker are some of the best. (BBQ people are a little like dogs...always snooping around the back end, looking for the kind of wood used, and the kind of cooker used.) Their sauce, if one cares to use sauce, is outstanding, but I prefer my BBQ without sauce. I did, however, bring four gallons of Sonny's sauce home to Missouri.

My experience at Sonny's, as with thousands more, was very good, and I can recommend Sonny's to those who enjoy good BBQ...some of the best one can find in a commercial restaurant. I can understand if one person now and then has a bad experience, or perceives it to be a bad experience, particularly if that person does not have a taste for BBQ. I, too would stick to Chinese if that is my taste. I was very pleased with Sonny's and will return.

P.S. I compare BBQ to BBQ, and Chinese to Chinese.

I've enjoyed BBQ at Sonny's here in Atlanta, in Athens and in the Gainesville (FL) area. Haven't had a bad meal yet. In fact, we used to stop at Sonny's on Saturday mornings on the way to Georgia games. The place was packed every time.

Just my $0.02...
