Pepe's on Wooster St. is my favorite, but other people like Sally's (also on Wooster St. and Modern Pizza on State St. (unlike Pepe's coal oven this place use an oil fired oven I hear).

If you go to Pepe's be sure to try a "white pie" like the Clam Pizza. Also only order small pies if you like a firm crust. My favorite pie is a white pie (no sauce) with grated cheese (no Mozzarella) and sausage....I'm on my way!

ding ding ding ding....finally someone got off the Sally's/Pepe's kick....my rating of them, good, but O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D. Howard hit the jackpot.....if you're in town and want pizza, go to Sally's or Pepe's if you want history for lunch. Go to Modern if you want pizza.
