Up in Genessee there is a new restaurant called Baci. We found out that it means "kisses" in Italian. They have a great view that overlooks Denver and wonderful atmosphere. It's just above the Chart House off of I-70. Only 20 minutes from downtown (west of Denver). My wife ordered a dish called Fagottino something, an appetizer. It was cured beef filled with goat cheese, with an olive oil and lemon dressing. It was very tasty. I had the mussels in spicy tomato sauce otherwise known as "Devil Sauce". Excellent! Although there were nice selections for soup or salad we bypassed it to save up for dessert. Our entrees were just as delicious as the appetizers. My wife likes mushrooms and so she ordered a pasta with a mushroom truffle sauce. There were large porcini mushrooms in a cream sauce with very wide noodles, melt in your mouth. I had the veal piccata, which was veal medallions with lemon, capers, and white wine. Very generous portion for the price which was $14.50. Some how we managed to save room for dessert. The tiramisu was the best we had ever tasted. It went very well with the cappuccino and espresso. All in all it was a wonderful evening and a great meal, our total bill was a little over $60. They had a wonderful selection of wines, we did not advantage of. We highly recommend this place. They also have a player piano. They are open 7 nights, reservations are recommended, especially on the weekends. Phone number 526-9497 Bon Appetite
