Great Vietnamese food in Denver

A very tasty and affordably priced Vietnamese restaurant here in Denver is Viet Huong, 1036 South Federal Blvd, (303) 934-5973. It has been my favorite for years. It is one of those small, family run places in what passes for 'chinatown' here in Denver. Nothing fancy, just very tasty food in a casual, friendly atmosphere. There are usually more Vietnamese patrons there than anybody else, which I take as a good sign. Try number 71, marinated pork and egg roll on rice noodles, or number 27, the x-tra large bowl of Pho, a basil and beef noodle soup if you have an x-tra large, x-tra empty tummy. I am told that Pho (I think that is pronounced 'fow') is a popular dish in the Northern parts of Vietnam, where it would comprise the main meal of the day. If it is served in the x-tra large bowl, I could see how that would carry a person the whole day. Served with Asian basil, lime, chili, and bean sprouts, it is the best tasting beef soup I've ever eaten. I don't work for them, I just love their food.
