I'm on a very tight budget and am interested in good eats at good prices, preferably food that Bahamians would eat, not what the tourists would seek out. Any idea where to find good conch chowder ? Any other suggestions for someone who is a willing walker and has adventurous tastebuds ? Are there any local markets where one can stock up on fresh fruits ? Where and what days ? Try underneath the bridge going to Paradise Island. They make a great conch salad there. Ummm, I don't want to sound impolite, but try hitting enter once in a while. Your posting appears as one super long line of input. /Phil

As I recall, it was some miles north (?) of town. It was a rather small place but the food was superb.
