What's good in MONTREAL???

There's a decent THAI place called Chao Praya on Stanley Street. Several Japanese restaurants on Mountain Street. For trendy Italian, hit St.-Laurent Street and try PICCOLO PALAZZO and BUONA NOTTE.

There's an inexpensive vegetarian place on Duluth called AU PARADIS DU VEG. Buffet-style.

For fancy moderately-priced French food, there's LE SOUBISE on Ste-Catherine Street (near the Forum).

Other faves include: Indian - TAJ MAHAL. Mom-Pop run Southern Indian (veg.) that's out of the way but excellent and inexpensive is PUSHAP's (go to Namur Metro).

Have a good time -- Since you'll be here during the maple season, you should try to go to Mont St-Gregoire to one of the sugar shacks (or CABANE A SUCRE, as they're called in French).
