Buzz Toothill, Philadelphia, PA I'd recommend then, Mildred Pierce, Jump, Left Bank, and Lotus. Lotus is the costliest. The place leaves much to be desired visually, it's actually a converted corner variety store off Queen St. with tables, period. But the food, (and presentation) is without doubt in the top one per cent of the city. A must for serious restaurant-goers. Jump and Left Bank are in the two year category. Should you need more info, just email me. Linda

While I agree with one reply that was posted (i.e., recommending Jump, Mildred Pierce, Lotus), let me add a different perspective. Taro Grill - 492 Queen St. West - amazing appetizers, great atmosphere, reasonable prices. They're also on-line [[email removed]] The Tempest - College St. at Markham - small, cozy; the chef is partners with the chef from North 44 in a wine consulting firm. Same price range as Taro. Mercer St. Grill - along the lines of North 44 pricing. Fabulous mains. Cafe Asia - one of the top restaurants in Toronto; rivals Lotus. Higher prices, but not nearly as high as Lotus. Mildred Pierce - great Sunday Brunch.
