I got eight people to reply to my request for a place in or near downtown Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada. There are three rotating restaurants in downtown Vancouver. They are: "Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant" at Harbour Centre Place, 555 West Hastings Street (604) 669-2220. (Also houses "The Lookout," an observation area.) This is best described as an orange UFO that appears to be invading the city, with glass elevators. It's neat the entrance to "Gastown," in the northern portion of the city. "Cloud Nine" at the Sheraton Landmark Hotel, 1400 Robson Street, telephone (604) 687-0511. "Vistas" at Vancouver Renaissance Hotel 1133 West Hastings Street. Telephone (604) 691-2787. Not as high as the "Top...," but it's on the waterfront. Also mentioned, for great (non-rotating) views, were "The Grouse Nest" on top of Grouse Mountain, with a $10.00 gondola ride, telephone (604) 984-0611. There's also a small cafe on the mountain as well. There's also "The Salmon House on the Hill", on the one of the north shore mountains, telephone (604) 926-3212.
