> Can anyone suggest good restaurants in Vancouver or Victoria B.C.? Vancouver is one of the GREAT towns in which to eat. It all depends on what you like. For good Chinese I would recommend going to the town of Richmond south of Vancouver where many of the Hong Kong people have settled. There is a wonderful Afgani restaurant in Vancouver called The Four Horseman. If you want to tell me what kind of food you like, I'll be happy to pass along more. In Vitoria, there is a great place called Herald Street Cafe that is comfortably casual and serves greate food that is sort of Italian based but not what you would define as an Italian restaurant. The Indian restaurant, Tandoor, is also very good as is Spinackers Pub for great beer, good food and a great view. Enjoy. It is actually in West Vancouver, but has the best alderwood smoked salmon and steaks I have ever tasted. Victoria is my home, so I know many more restaurants here. It depends what type of meal you want, but my favourites are (in no order): San Remo (Hillside and Quadra) Cecconi's (North Dairy Street) Pagliacci's (Broad Street) - Mel Gibson's favourite lasagna!
