>am looking for good-excellent restaurants you know in Nova Scotia, >PEI and southern New Brunswick ... thanks! >Wayne Smith [email removed] >University of Maine System The Boscowen Inn in Lunenburg, NS (lobster sandwiches, fresh lemonade, and blueberry pie are my favorite lunch) Glady's Canteen in Rose Bay, NS (the best fish and chips and homemade root beer and homemade pies around) The Turkey Burger in New Germany, NS (great burgers and good home cooking) Camille's in Halifax (great, but really CHEAP fish and chips) With the exception of the Boscowen, these are all small, very informal places that can really give you a taste of the "real" Nova Scotia. If that's what you're interested in, I have another suggestion which may sound a little strange. As you're driving through, look for church suppers. I'm serious! Some are what are called "variety plate" suppers and others are "cold plate" suppers, but the best are the chowder suppers. Churches (and sometimes fire halls) put out a sign announcing the supper for about a week before. You're guaranteed to meet some interesting people and have some great food. Hope this helps! -Carolyn Seaman U of Maryland, College Park

Also, send email to Wayne Smith ([email removed]) who posted a similar request a month or so ago. He may still have his responses (he requested responses to be sent email because he doesn't normally ready this group). Hope this helps! -Carolyn Seaman U of Maryland, College Park
