Halifax:
Clipper Kay for seafood and Steak,
Silver Spoon, down by Historic Properties had excellent
             cakes.

If you want good cheap steak with good atomospere, try midtown tavern

There are a whole bunch of restaurants in a row in downtown, I remember name of one of the restaurants, it is called Lawrence Of Oregano

Mahone Bay:
Zwickers Inn
Cape House Inn -- great place to go for tea.

Lunenberg:
Captain's Table, this restaurant served the best seafood
I have ever had anywhere. $$$

I nice place to go for lunch after a long drive is the restaurant on Peggy's cove, it is ~25 miles from halifax.

I lived in Halifax about 10 years ago, so, some of these establishments may have changed/closed down by now.
