A friend told me of an article in the Murky News a couple of weeks back that mentioned an "all you can eat" sushi place somewhere here in the south bay..... it is supposed to have opened recently, be moderately priced, and the sushi actually decent. (8 bucks for lunch or so)..... Anybody know of this place ?

Other favourite sushi resturants: Ikenohana's in Cupertino (very expensive, but really worth it for a special occasion), Isobune's in Burlingame, and Sushi Lovers in Milpitas. How 'bout you guys ?

I know several in the south bay. Sushi Depot on Stevens Creek and Wolf, across from the Bread of Life/Duke's/Ola's shopping center, and kitty-corner from HP Cupertino. Been there for lunch and dinner. Pretty good for an all-you-can-eat place, my favorite of the ones I've tried. Got a whole lobster (cooked) for two when I went for dinner. Don't know if that's standard, or special the week I was there.

A place whose name escapes me on El Camino, starts with a 'Y', I believe, and I think it is in Mountain View. It is on the West(?) side of the street (on the left if you're heading from L.A. to San Francisco). Been there once, it's OK. Part owned by the guy who owns Little Garden.

In Redwood City is Natori II, which is also OK, but I like the other two better. I think Natori I is in San Francisco, but don't quote me on that.

BTW, all three of these are owned/run by Chinese folks, which I find to be an interesting cultural phenomenon.

Try Tokyo Sushi at Murphy (Brokaw) and Lundy in San Jose. It is new and delicious. The chefs are imaginative and friendly. The service is unmatched and the sushi is always fresh. The prices are exetremely reasonable. I go every Saturday nite and have not been disappointed since the day it opened about 5 weeks ago.

An out of the way place that's definately worth the jouney is located at the corner of White Rd. and Aborn Rd. in the Evergreen area of S.J. It's name is Yuri, and they serve up the standard Japanese fare (tempura, your regular susi) but the thing I really enjoy is the rolls (maki) that are combinations invented by their regular customers! Some very unique and interesting tastes!
