I would recommend Estrellita's mexican restaurant. It's in Mountain View / Palo Alto / Los Altos on San Antonio Road, 200 feet south ("west") of El Camino Real. This intersection is where both Chef Chu's restaurant, and Tower Records, are located.
Beware: Cinco de Mayo is tomorrow; expect a crowd.San Francisco Bay Area, CA
Recommendations wanted for a good Mexican restaurant.

The food is excellent, staff friendly and the salsa fantastic. There's also a relatively new place on California Ave. in Palo Alto. North side of the street, about midway between ElCamino and the Caltrain tracks. Similar menu to Fiesta del Mar, but not, IMHO, so good.

It is on the street right behind the Safeway there.
