My favorite B & B is Agate Cove Inn, but I'm sure you're too late to get in for Labor Day. Plan on six weeks ahead if you want to get one of the ocean view rooms.

My latest favorite restaurant in the area is up in Fort Bragg - the restaurant at the Brewing Company. Imaginative, very well prepared food, excellent service, and (as is typical for the area) very informal atmosphere. My only complaint was that I couldn't try everything on the menu, and eight beers was a bit hard to choose from. So many beers, so little time.

We also went to the Moose Cafe in Mendocino, which is one of our traditional favorites. I haven't been to Cafe Beaujolais in years (since they stopped doing breakfast), but they were quite good, as well. Really, there's no shortage of good places to eat. Check out the menus at whatever B & B you get in to, and ask the hosts for recommendations.
