I'm a fairly easy-going and forgiving fellow, generally. But I forgot (silly me) to avoid tourist traps and other "touristy" areas for dinner. Thus, it will be no surprise to anyone when I relate (IMHO) the poor food quality, overly-salted and itty-bitty portions at one of those on-the-wharf restaurants. Oh yes, I forgot to mention the inattentive wait staff. And there's more, but why beat a dead horse... (In my business, one of the most valuable assets you can have is SATISFIED CUSTOMERS.) Yes, yes, I know. I should have known better. Ah well, at least others can benefit from my mistake. Just for the record: Restaurant: Rappa's Location: On the Monterey Wharf Caveats: Though the restaurant is listed on the Monterey tourism web site, it's still a rip. Caveat emptor **3 !!! (Too bad there isn't an alt.tourist.ripoff usenet group.)
