To me an authentic tacqueria serves $1 to $1.25 tacos that have only meat, onions, cilantro and salsa on 2 fried yellow corn tortillas. This is essentially what you get from taco stands throughout Mexico. 3 places that I have found are Tres Hermanos on Moffet 2 blocks N of Central Expressway in Mountain View, Los Caminitos on N 13th 2 blocks S of Hedding/Berryesa in San Jose and the taco coach that parks in the little lot on Rengstorff near the RR tracks also in Mtnview. Any other recs?

Eduardo's on Winchester Blvd between Payne and Hamilton. (behind the McDonalds). If the carne asada is fresh off the grill, the tacos are incredible. Excellent red/black smooth salsa too. The carnitas are also a treat.
