The average pizzeria may not be quite as good as back east but there are a lot of great places - you've just got to search a little harder. I myself love Chicago style pizza - two places that serve great deep-dish pizza are Pizza Chicago (in Palo Alto and Santa Clara) and Zachary's Chicago Pizza (in Berkeley and Oakland). I am not that fond of thin-crust pizza but some of my friends are and they rave about Cicero's in Cupertino and Amici's in San Mateo. Raghu
