Good SF places w/dinner specials (cheap eats?)

Some SF locals know of the Blue Light's (union st) 1/2-off Tuesday night menu. Decent food, definitely much better than the Tuesday night Baja Cantina specials and the Tuesday night City Tavern $2 Twosdays (the portions started geting so small that everyone went back to the Blue Light!).

Well--I only know of such "specials" (decent food for the price) in the Cow Hollow area. Any similar day-of-the-week specials in Noe/the Haight/SOMA/other?

Please share!

It's beer food, and you have to sit in the bar area, but Willow Street Wood-Fired Pizza (150 Fourth Street) has half-price appetizers (including bar-size pizzas) during nightly happy hour, which I think is from 5 to 7. About a dozen different varieties of pizza (not just the usual) and a dozen different appetizers (garlic spinach, nicely done wings, calamari, etc.), at about $3 per, meaning much more variety than TGIF's half-price happy hour specials next door. And no, I don't work there, but my lunch hour coincides with those hours (hic).
