Someone else pointed out where the Cattleman's is on Highway 50. There is also a Cattleman's on Highway 80 in Dixon. This is much closer to Davis than the one on 50.

As far as sacramento dining is concerned, three of my favourites are the Red Lobster on Howe (relatively inexpensive, excellent food,) the Brisket House on J (I think,) and the Rusty Duck (expensive, supremely excellent food.) I don't know specific locations, but they are in the phone book, and worth checking out.

Three of us went to the CLiff House and dropped about 300 clams, really good food, but pricy...

There are so many good restaurants in Sac that it would be difficult to list them all. You mentionned the Cliff House in Folsom? One of our favorites for both food and ambiance. Luncheons are especially great (thinking of their Caesar salads) and reasonably priced.

In old Sac, you might consider the Delta King, Frank Fats,The Firehouse, or Jazzman's Art of Pasta. If you're looking for good food at bargain prices, try The Old Spaghetti Factory or Cattleman's in Folsom. Enjoy!
