Here are my favorites.

SHANGRILA
Located on Irving near 24th? Quiet place with pink tableclothes and good food at reasonable prices.

HERVBIVORE
On Valencia near 21rst. Inexpensive place with only a few sitdown tables. Mostly stools and counters. Great Pad Thai and Veg Burrito. Mostly Vegan. Worth trying. Overall, my favorite inexpensive place.

ORGANICITY
On Fillmore near California. Weird name. Located next door to parent health food store. Moderate prices. Good food. Clearly written menu. Much Vegan, much low fat. Good service.

JOUBERT's
One of my all time favorites. According to Pat Conlan (his grandfather is Joubert), he serves "peasant food". Hearty and delicious. Recently reviewed by Channel 5 so I'll wait a while to go back. Prices medium. Mostly Vegan. Overall, my favorite moderately priced place.

NOW & ZEN
On Buchanan just outside of Japantown. Not sure it's there anymore. Nice place with great desserts. Need reservations most of time. Many Vegan dishes. Try their Seitan Shiskkabob. Prices medium.

PURELAND
In San Bruno on San Bruno Ave off of El Camino. Reasonable prices, good food. Not sure it's there by the name Pureland anymore. Try their diced veggies in lettuce leaves. Great. Prices reasonable.

MACROBIOTIC?
Located in Oakland at Linden and 40th. Simple but tasty meals. Superfresh. Plain surroundings. All Vegan. Prices medium for what you get (full dinner, no choices, about 12$)

GREEN's
At Fort Mason. Good, but overrated. Uses too much cheese. Not much Vegan. Great view. Prices high. Touristy but ok.

MILLENIUM
In Abigail Hotel, SF. Very high price. Mostly Vegan.Food good , but not in proportion to price. I am reluctant to return.

Thanks for starting this thread. I, too, am looking for other people's recommendations regarding Veg/Vegan places.
