Ming's --1977 was my first time after an exacta win at Bay Meadows. It was really a great dining experience. The next time was 1979 and an ant crawled out of the rice, the tea had a fly in it and something else (can't remember, but remember it was three things). Shortly after that (when was this exactly?) the health dept. shut down Ming's for one month. I think it was 1982 or so and I met a friend for the Chinese Chicken Salad for lunch. I tried to duplicate this at home and finally got close (I wonder where that recipe is?) after a dozen tries. About a month ago, a co-worker ordered Ming's via Waiters on Wheels. He grew up in Palo Alto, and was horrified at how the quality of this place had gone so downhill. I need to find that recipe. I think Ming's perfected the Chinese Chicken Salad, don't you? A good restaurant for CCS is that place by Piaza's on the corner of Charleston and Middlefield Road, imho. Karen O'
