As long as we're reviewing restaurants, I'll add mine to the list. Flew into Shreveport, La and rented a car to drive into southern Arkansas. Stopped at Podnuh's Barbecue in north Shreveport. Fabulous is all I can say. Great smoked meats and sauce. Best barbecue beans I've ever tasted. Probably didn't want to know, but I asked anyway and they told me they put the juices from the barbecue pit into the beans. Instant heart attack, I know, but I'm going to have to try it next time I smoke a brisket and make beans. Podnuh's is a local chain with restaurants also in Baton Rouge. This is the only one I've eaten in, but if I get to Louisiana again, I'll try the other ones, too. Highly recommended.
