The title "Picarrich" is the only clue to this view's subject, and the Library of Congress notes that it comes from unverified data on the negative or its sleeve, so treat the place name with caution. The record dates the 4 by 5 inch glass negative to 1924 and credits the National Photo Company, a commercial firm that photographed American cities and events in the early twentieth century. Herbert A. French gave the plate to the Library in 1947, and like many glass negatives of its age, it shows streaks and blemishes from the natural deterioration of its original coatings.
