A color Christmas number advertisement for the *Figaro illustré*, the illustrated supplement of the Paris daily *Le Figaro*, gives this 1895 poster its particular character. Ferdinand Bac, a French artist and illustrator who lived from 1859 to 1952, designed it, and Boussod, Valadon in Paris printed it. The record also lists a New York imprint, which likely reflects distribution rather than production, and the catalog data on the caption card is unverified.
