A packed grandstand stretches across the frame in this 1908 panoramic view, with the ballfield spread out below it and rows of spectators filling the seats from end to end. The picture belongs to the Pittsburgh set, and it captures a sporting crowd at a time when baseball drew huge followings to urban ballparks and streetcars brought fans in from across the city.
