The Bain News Service, the New York agency that George Grantham Bain founded, took the title from caption cards and negative sleeves, and the record notes that it has not been verified, so the names may not all refer to one event or to the people pictured. Bain's agency distributed news and feature photographs to newspapers in the early twentieth century, and its glass negatives are valued today as a visual record of that period. Because no date is recorded, the exact year remains uncertain.
