Titled simply "XXXV," this color woodcut is attributed to A. Ryan and survives as impression 4 of an edition of eight, signed on the plate. The record dates it only to a span between 1910 and 1957, and the caption-card information behind it is unverified, so the artist's identity and the work's exact origin remain open questions. Color woodcuts from this period were usually built up from several carved blocks, each inked in a separate color, so every impression depends on careful registration. Numbered editions like this one were a common way for printmakers of the era to show that a work was deliberately limited rather than run off in quantity.
