This glass negative shows Samuel Willetts, identified in the title as Master of Foxhounds (M.F.H.), mounted on horseback at Meadowbrook. The Master of Foxhounds ran a hunt's pack and set its schedule, so the title points to a man in a leadership role rather than a casual rider. Meadowbrook was a well-known hunt country on Long Island, where fox hunting drew wealthy sportsmen in the early 1900s. The title comes from caption cards from the Bain News Service, a press photo agency, so the identification and location are not independently verified.
