Taken on Easter Sunday, April 12, 1925, this glass negative records a service at the First Congregational Church, which sets it apart from the other Easter views on this board. It belongs to the National Photo Company Collection, the Washington-based commercial studio that photographed American streets, buildings and civic life in the 1910s and 1920s. Photographers of that era often recorded holiday congregations in their best clothes. The glass may show streaks and blemishes from the natural deterioration of its original coatings, so parts of the image can look hazy.
