Fort Worth's Tarrant County courthouse is the subject here, shown around 1901 in a photogravure, a process that turned photographs into finely detailed printed plates. The print carries a copyright notice in the name of C.L. Swartz of The Albertype Co., and it belongs to a series labeled the Dunlop Society Court Houses. The date and attributions come from an old caption card and have not been independently verified, so they should be treated as provisional. Even so, the image offers a useful look at how county seats presented their civic buildings at the turn of the century.
