A color lithograph signed by Louisette Jaeger, a fourteen-year-old, sets this 1918 poster apart from the many wartime appeals on the board. Its French title, *Cultivons Notre Potager*, urges readers to grow their own vegetable plot, and the cabbages, potatoes and carrots drawn across the sheet show what such a garden was meant to produce. Printed near the end of the war, it reflects the push for home food production in France as shortages strained household supplies. The Canada Food Board is listed among its sponsors, a reminder that food-conservation campaigns of the period crossed national borders.
