A cannon fills most of this 1918 color lithograph, and the sheet carries no text at all, leaving an open panel where a slogan could be added. That blank space suggests it was meant to be adapted for a particular campaign, since British wartime printers often produced standard images that could be paired with different messages. The title "Cannon" was assigned by library staff rather than printed on the poster. Printed in the final year of the war, it offers a useful view of how wartime publicity was designed and reused.
