Rather than addressing the fighting men still overseas, this poster speaks to soldiers on their way back to civilian life, urging them to "carry on" the Army's campaign against venereal disease after discharge. Printed in 1919, after the armistice, it reflects the wartime concern that sexually transmitted infections had cut into the fighting strength of the American forces, and the War Department's health education effort did not end when the fighting did. The record credits the design to McMennamin and lists the War Department's Public Relations office as the issuing body. The lower right corner is missing, so some of the text is incomplete.
