This 1918 lithograph was printed by the Greenwich Litho. Co. of New York and promotes a spring drive for the Liberty Loans, the bonds the U.S. government sold to pay for its part in World War I. Its title names the drive and gives the Wilson-Craig credit line, which points to the people who designed it. Posters like this one were pinned in post offices, banks, and storefronts, where they urged ordinary Americans to lend money to the war effort. The bond campaigns of 1917 and 1918 relied on this kind of mass-produced color art to reach households across the country.
