The drawing imagines a hotel carried aloft rather than anchored to the ground, with a balloon labeled "Cures'Air" promising guests a course of fresh air in the sky. The name plays on the French *cure d'air*, a fashionable treatment in which invalids and city dwellers were sent to breathe clean country or mountain air, so the joke turns a medical habit into a floating resort. France, and Paris especially, had been the center of ballooning since the Montgolfier brothers' first crewed hot-air flight in 1783, and by the late 1800s aerial travel was a popular subject for illustrators. The sketch is worth a closer look for how it treats the airship as a serious commercial idea while poking fun at both health fads and faith in new technology.
