American League Park in New York was the ballpark on Bronx land near Broadway and 165th Street, home to the Highlanders, the team that later became the Yankees. This 1910 panorama captures the park as a wide, unbroken view, letting the viewer take in the stands, the field and the surrounding streetscape at once. Panoramic photographs like this were popular in the early 1900s because they could record an entire ballpark or crowd in a single frame, and they remain valuable for showing how baseball venues were laid out before modern stadium design.
