oh, this place is killer good!! Plus eastern WA is a cultural experience
 ;-)

I gotta say tho, the closest they'll get is El Puerco Lloron on the stair
 climb at PPM.

The Cantina del Puerco in downtown Bellevue is pretty similar to EPL, no?

So what are the criteria for "good" Tex-Mex eats, anyway?

Wherever those Dagos are from it ain't Texas. They are unfamilliar with
picante sauce (a key ingredient to Tex-Mex). What they do serve is
under-sliced and over-priced. One good thing though, always plenty of
 tables (I wonder why?)

huh? hey, we have better oysters here than anywhere, haven't you tried them
yet?? Tex-Mex, well... I think Mama's isn't really that great, but I do
like El Puerco Lloron on the stairclimb. Much better than Mama's, IMHO.

El Camino in Freemont makes the best chile rellenos I have ever had in
Seattle. They use one or two chiles depending on their size, the cheese is
mild-hot nad lots of it, the salsa is home made and very hot. The rest
of their food is good too. The rellenos are $6.00.
 They also make amaxing Marguritas.
