For a bustling atmosphere and an outrageous selection of oysters, try FX
McCrory's, right next to the Kingdome, at the southern tip of the Pioneer
Square district. Big, brassy sportsbar atmosphere with zillions of beers
on tap and (I'll repeat) awesome oysters. If that's your type of scene,
 that's the place to go...

Here's my $.02 on the Seattle restaurant scene...
Aside from grazing my way through Pike Place Market (boureks at Turkish
Delight, Tostadas at El Puerco Lloron and gelato from Procopio) here are
 my favorites:
Cafe Flora (E. Madison) = creative vegetarian (lacto-ovo and vegan)
Campagne (Inn at the Market) and the downstairs bar = Euro and
 Mediterranean inspired
Cyclops = funky, lots of veggie options and well thoughout out menu
Taj Mahal (Capitol Hill) = decent Indian and the mango lhassis is worth
 the trip alone
Mediterranean Kitchen (Queen Anne) = lots o'garlic and yummy
 Enjoy.

 BEST Mexican food in Seattle:
half way down the Pike Place market "hill climb" (down to the waterfront...
just ask at the fish market under the clock).

El Puerco Loron (which I'm sure is misspelled)

I belive it means The Crying Pig

A friend who lived in Mexico City for 5 years claims it's the ONLY authentic
 Mexican food around.

 AND the prices are low.
