a must try restraunt is Zula, east african, 916E. John. Wonderfull
food. Take the 43 bus from U. District going to down town, ask to be let
off a Broadway. Bus passes Zula's just before Broadway. Lots of good
 restaurants along Broadway also.

 U. District also has lots of cheap ethinic places try Shara for baklava
 Good luck

I love to go to Chandlers when I'm in Seattle. Great seafood! Be sure to
try the Whiskey Bisque soup. It's on the $ side but well worth it.

The best place on the Ave for Thai (IMHO) is the Bangkok Cafe, which is
 just north of 47th street.

The problem is $$$!. There are many good seafood restaurants in the area.
Try Ray's Boathouse. Now that summer is coming, the view out over the
water is lovely. Another possibility is McCormick and Schmicks, which is
downtown. The Painted Table in the Alexis Hotel is fine (not just
seafood) and is easily accessable. Have a good time!

Every time I wind up in Seattle, I always go to Chau's, near the
Kingdome. Hong Kong style seafood. Outrageous crab in black bean sauce!

Last time I was in Seattle I ate at "Spazos". I had the salmon baked in
grape leaves - wow!!! (and I don't even like salmon that much). I agree
about Ray's Boat House. Chandler's seafood is also super. Salty's is
another good bet - great view on the bay.
