There's also a restaurant called Kokeb on 12th Avenue near James St.

I think Kokeb is an ethiopian restaurant.

Yeah, it is. A good small Russian Piroshky/borscht/etc place is in Post
Alley, in The Pike Place Market. It's called Cafe Yarmarka.

This place isn't Russian, but it is one of the former Soviet Bloc
countries. Pirosmani on Queen Anne serves up great Georgian recipes. Go
there while you still can, it's gone this month.

There are two good Russian restaurants downtown - across the
street from each other. Kaleenka is my favorite, but Labuznik is
 good, too.

There is a little tiny hole in the wall in Bellevue called Cafe
Europa. The proprietors are from just outside St. Petersburg.
Wonderful people. Please let me know what you think of the place
if you go there. I am very fond of it.

Labuznik serves Czecheslovkian food. Heavy on the meat, pretty pricey,
 but wonderful.
