I know this is the wrong peninsula, but I thought I'd mention it anyway since I was so impressed. A couple of weeks ago, I was out in Seaview on the Long Beach Peninsula and we stopped by the Heron and Beaver Pub. It's located in the Shelburne Inn across the hall from the famous Shoalwater Restaurant. The food comes from the same kitchen as the Shoalwater and is very reasonably priced. I had an excellent fresh halibut sandwich for about $8-9. The atmosphere is laid back and they have an excellent selection of beer and wine. Highly recommended if you're in that area annd don't want to shell out the big bucks to go to the Shoalwater.
