This place just opened on Friday and my first visit was tonight
(about 20 minutes after they got their liquor license <g>).
It was pleasing to look at (kind of comfy-moderne); and the
wait-staff and owner are really nice people (I love the sense of
hope, excitement and anticipation you feel upon entering a brand
new 'neighborhood' restaurant). The owner seemed genuinely
interested in our experience and opinions and was enthusiastic
 about his creation.
I had the Portobello (which was good) and was accompanied by
some really good (sweet) beans and a house salad with a really
_wonderful_ orange/berry-type dressing; marvelous. My friend had
the medallions of turkey (which looked like veal) and he was
quite happy. We split a chocolate truffle thing which tasted of
powdered mousse mix. (They also had basil ice cream which I
wasn't brave enough to try.) They were serving decent wines by
the glass, but there was no list yet.
Two entrees, two salads, two glasses of wine and one dessert
were $40 without tip. They'll be having live jazz every Friday
and Saturday, too. All in all a very enjoyable experience and
I'll be back many times, I'm sure. Hope to see you there.

 Cheers,
 Vivian
